Drs David Bloom and Jay Padayachy had a dream to create a visually stunning, centre of dental excellence within their home town of Watford. And create their dream, they have.
The new practice opened to patients in mid-April 2008.
The practice features nine practitioner studios including a dental operating theatre, all designed by internationally recognised architects FLACQ, to facilitate a seamless patient experience. The dental studios feature A-DEC dental chairs, the most comfortable in the world, and the studios are clustered around a central core, including sterilisation facilities which patients never see but that allow our dentists, hygienists and dental nurses to access appropriate equipment quickly and easily, whenever they need it. This also ensures that the surgeries are completely equipment and clutter free.

A relaxation area featuring four massage chairs - each of which can choose its own music feed.
Music on demand and DVDs to entertain patients during treatments.
Pampering treatments including paraffin hand waxes.
A fully bookable spa, with plans to incorporate a medi spa in the next six months to complement our facial aesthetics and mole removal service. Patients can choose their own music feed here too.
In each studio, patients can choose their own radio station, CD or music. Alternatively, they can watch Freeview TV or pick a DVD which can be shown either on the patient monitor mounted on the chair or on widescreen eye goggles. The patient monitor can also display digital X-rays and intra oral camera pictures, charting, or anything that is on the dentists' screen.
Full Lutron lighting system enables us to control the light for the entire building at the touch of a button and all rooms can have mood lighting at the touch of a button too.
Consultation rooms have privalite glass that goes opaque at the touch of a button. This instantly alerts the rest of the practice team that the room is in use and ensures complete privacy for the user.
The new practice also features a wide range of facilities designed to make a visit as easy and pleasant as possible, from a concierge service, to a well-stocked complimentary refreshment bar, an internet bar including free WiFi, and a wide selection of the latest magazines and newspapers.
